Like the ever-popular Q-Switched Laser, the ENLIGHTEN PICO, is a non-ablative laser that is mainly used for pigmentation removal, acne scars, skin rejuvenation and brightening, and tattoo removal.<\/p>\n
ENLIGHTEN PICO works in ultrashort picosecond laser pulses instead of nanosecond pulses in a Q-Switched Laser.<\/p>\n
This means that the pulse duration (how much time 1 laser shot stays on the skin) of ENLIGHTEN PICO is 100x shorter than a Q-Switched Laser, and more laser shots can be fired by ENLIGHTEN PICO in the same amount of time compared to a Q-Switched Laser. The shorter pulse duration also means that the skin heats up less and this reduces the risk of hyper-pigmentation which can sometimes form due to laser procedures.<\/p>\n

This makes it an ideal solution for treatment of challenging skin and optimizes our signature skin revitalization treatment.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Multi-Wavelength Solution<\/span><\/p>\n Tattoos and pigment are comprised of multi-colors which require multiple wavelengths to remove effectively. The enlighten features three fully-integrated laser wavelengths \u2013 532 nm, 1064 nm and 670 nm \u2013 the first true red wavelength in the picosecond domain. The unique 670 nm wavelength shatters congenital or resistant pigmentary conditions and addresses challenging blue and green tattoos.<\/p>\n You can return to work or daily activities immediately after the laser. However, it is advised to stay avoid prolonged or intentional strong sun exposure for a week after the laser to avoid hyper-pigmentation. For certain patients, some greying\/browning\/darkening of the existing pigmentation may be expected before it fades off. This is normal and one shouldn\u2019t be worried as it will fade off in time.<\/p>\n Based on individual\u2019s pain tolerance and location of the pigmented lesion, most patients are able to tolerate the lasers sessions without much discomfort. The laser feels like tiny warm pricks on the skin.<\/p>\n Depending on condition and the type of pigmentation, number of treatments can vary.
